The American Water Works Association is the professional organization of drinking water system operators, engineers, administrators and regulators. AWWA sponsors half-day professional-development teleconferences two or three times each year. While most states host teleconference downlinks at one or two sites, in Montana, the Water Center organizes teleconference downlinks at seven sites and hosts the Bozeman downlink site. These teleconferences are four hours long and take place each March and November. Past topics have included distribution system maintenance, SCADA controls and other instrumentation, terrorist threats to water treatment plants, and taste and odor in drinking water.
Visit the American Water Works Association for more information about the organization. |
